This cult classic gem was produced by Alan Shawn Feinstein & Gil Morse who were long time friends of Tiny Tim in the mid-80's up to his death in 1996. This particular documentary trails what happened to Tiny during those years as Gil Morse, also his manager, booked gigs all around New England.
Cloud Thirteen Productions only played the role of editing and helping to distribute this independently through CustomFlix. Currently the film remains for sale on Amazon. There some select chapters below for a sample of what is on the DVD.
In the years after The Last Hurrah was released and snuck its way across the world, much interest has come to re-make the documentary with a much more organized budget & interview list. The proposed budget for a full blown documentary is estimated at $1,000,000; $650,000 for production and $350,000 for marketing/distribution. Michael Bockner, among many other distributors, has expressed repeated interest with the new documentary.
In 2006, a copy of The Last Hurrah found a home with Penn Jillette (Penn & Teller's Bullshit). He named the documentary, among many other films, The Best of 2006. While the documentary has created an internet buzz selling thousands of copies and getting 100,000+ hits on YouTube, Cloud Thirteen Productions pursues funding for this very sought after documentary.
This higher valued documentary would attempt to include interviews with Penn Jillette, Bob Dylan, Howard Stern & many others that Tiny Tim had befriended during his life.
